Search engine optimization (SEO)
SEO means to optimize a web page to appear as high as possible on the list of result a search engine gives when somebody searches for products you sell. Some people are willing to pay a huge amount of money to be able to appear on top of the search list. This is obviously justified since visitors often clicks first on the highest listed results.
To appear on top of the search results is difficult and on top of this the search engines continuously changes the criteria for which page should appear first. Unfortunately it is impossible to guarantee that your web site appears first in the search results. However, one can guarantee that there are dramatic improvements when optimizing for search engines. Normally you get very far by just appearing on the first page of the results.
Warning
There are companies who unfortunately companies who make 2nd rating SEO’s but charges quite an amount. Some of the optimizations are forbidden as well and in some cases web sites become banned from the search engines. If you are interested in SEO make sure the company you hire has a good reputation and stick to the rules.
Time consuming
Be aware that SEO is very time consuming and it might take months before you see an improvement in the result ranking. As mentioned it is also very expensive. If you don’t want to wait we suggest using Google Adwords or Overture. Of course, the combination of both is optimal.
